See a Motown legend perform for free this weekend in Elkhart
ELKHART, Ind. (WNDU) - A local entertainment and DJ service is kicking off “Classic R&B Nights” with a bang in Elkhart this weekend!. Legendary Motown artist Darryl Buchanan will be performing on Sunday evening at the Corner Bar inside Hotel Elkhart. Buchanan has previously worked with other music legends such as the Temptations and James Brown.
Two Injured After Vehicle Hits Warsaw School Bus On Friday
Two people were injured after the vehicle they were in allegedly hit a Warsaw Community School Corporation bus Friday. At approximately 9:03 a.m. Friday, at the intersection of U.S. 30 and Anchorage Road, a white 2011 Chrysler Town and Country driven by Aaron McCoy, 51, of Wolcottville, was traveling west on U.S. 30, according to information provided by Warsaw Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Chris Francis.
Man sentenced to 45 years in Indiana Department of Correction for 2022 Indy murder
INDIANAPOLIS — A man charged in a 2022 robbery that resulted in the death of a 31-year-old man was sentenced to 45 years in the Indiana Department of Correction on Friday. Stephen Cartwright, 44, of Warsaw, Indiana pleaded guilty in April to the murder of Medhat Saad. Indianapolis police found Saad with gunshot wounds at a home in the northwest side of the city.

Unclaimed property auction May 30 at Peddler's Village
ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart Police Department has announced an unclaimed property auction will be held at the Peddler's Village Auction in Goshen on May 30. "By authority of I.C. 35-33-5-5 the City of Elkhart, Indiana will hold a public auction of evidence / property that have been left in the custody of an officer or employee of a political subdivision or agency and have remained unclaimed for more than 90 days," EPD said. "An inventory of items will be on file at the Board of Public Works Office, 229 South Second Street, Elkhart, Indiana."
