As discount retailer shutters stores, rural Missouri towns lose grocery options
Residents of several small towns in Missouri may face an uncertain future with grocery shopping as Dollar Tree plans to close 600 stores this year, including some in Missouri. Dollar Tree, which owns Family Dollar, announced in March that it would close 600 stores in 2024, and another 370 stores over the next few years. Motorcycle accident in Hardy claims life of Iowa man
A 54-year-old Iowa man died Saturday afternoon after his motorcycle hit a trailer in Hardy. According to Arkansas State Police, Samuel Break of Iowa City, Iowa, was traveling north on State Highway 175 when his 1998 Suzuki VZ800 struck the side of a trailer attached to a southbound Chevrolet Silverado that was turning left into a private drive.
