Warsaw woman arrested at work after special needs son found wandering around neighborhood
WARSAW, Ill. — A Warsaw woman is facing child abandonment and child endangerment charges after an incident on Tuesday. The Hancock County Sheriff’s Department received a report at approximately 6:57 p.m. Tuesday, May 14 of a young boy with special needs wandering the neighborhood near Sixth and Jackson in Warsaw. The young boy was found by a neighbor after he had tried to enter another neighbor’s home. The boy was found in an unsanitary state. The caller discovered, and then reported, that the boy’s mother was not at home.

QUINCY — One person was injured in a two-vehicle traffic crash on Monday. Deputies with the Adams County Sheriff’s Department responded to the crash (the time was not noted in a press release) at the intersection of 12th Street and U.S. 24. QUINCY — The Quincy Police Department is stepping up enforcement efforts through Memorial Day to remind motorists to “Click It or Ticket.”. “Whether you’re driving around the corner or across the nation, remember to buckle up every time,” Sgt. Ryan Witt said in a press release. “The ‘Click It or Ticket’ effort is about preserving lives. We want seat belt use to be second nature for all drivers and passengers.”

QUINCY — The annual St. Francis Solanus Parish picnic will be from 5 p.m. to midnight on Saturday, June 8, at 1720 College.
