Truck driver seriously injured in semitrailer crash Thursday in south-central Kansas
KINGMAN, Kan. (WIBW) - A truck driver suffered serious injuries in a crash early Thursday in Kingman County in south-central Kansas, officials said. The crash was reported at 1:30 a.m. Thursday at K-14 highway and S.E. 50th Street. The location was about 4 miles south of the city of Kingman.

Active start to the month, much quieter today
Starting the morning with temps in the 40s to mid-60s across the High Plains. Temps will still rise into the 70s to low 80s for this afternoon. Winds are increasing along and behind our front this morning. Cloud cover will decrease through the day as well as our winds. This will leave us with pleasant conditions for this evening. We had a very active day to kick off the month of May, but for today, much quieter weather. We had a total of nine tornadoes in our coverage area. Hail was reported up to 4″ 4 miles WNW of Clarendon. Additionally, we had reports of landslides in the Caprock Canyons. On Friday, we will see another round of isolated thunderstorms to the northwest and south/southeast. Then on Saturday, we have forecasted late storms into Sunday. We are in the Spring season so be sure to stay weather aware and tuned to the latest!
