'The beautiful coverup': How Torrington turned tragedy into triumph
TORRINGTON – For many years, the city of Torrington and the Torrington Rotary Club have joined together to turn a series of tragic events into a special project which many of us in the community enjoy today. Board approves four-day week for Glendo school
After consideration of comments made by 22 attendees of a public meeting in Glendo, in addition to an initial public meeting and board workshop in early April, the board of Platte County School District No. 1 approved a four-day school week for students in Glendo. The motion passed 5-0. Connie Eller and Chase Irvine were absent from the meeting.
Natrona’s Bailey Watson Commits to Eastern Wyoming for Golf
Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington is starting a women's golf program this fall and one of their inaugural signees is Bailey Watson of Natrona. She has displayed steady improvement in her prep career and that's the name of the game. In her sophomore year, she placed 16th at the 4A State Tournament and then finished 11th at State in her junior year with rounds of 87 and 91. She also finished 11th at the 2023 State Tourney with rounds of 89 and 99.
