Washington Police bestowed new evidence center
WASHINGTON, Ill. (WMBD) — In the policing world, if one box of evidence gets compromised, the security of all evidence in that room comes into question. Luckily, that wasn’t the case when a fire in March at the Washington Public Works building due to faulty wiring in a streetsweeper. Some boxes received smoke damage, but the evidence inside came out unscathed due to a firewall separating the evidence room from the rest of the building.
Several nature trails close due to storm damage
PEORIA HEIGHTS (25News Now) - Several trails in the Forest Park Nature Center in Peoria Heights are closed due to storm damage along the paths. Four sections of its trails were taped off to the public on Sunday due to flood damage, which covered the trails with trees and water.

CHILLICOTHE, Ill. (WMBD) — More than 100 people came out to Illinois Valley Central High School to walk and donate to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This is the first time that the school has hosted the walk, although the school has raised funds for Cystic Fibrosis for a long time according to event organizer Sherri Heth.
