Memorial service scheduled for dead Pinehurst pastor
PINEHURST, Idaho – A funeral service has been scheduled for a Pinehurst pastor found dead on April 23. The memorial will be held at Kellogg High School on May 11 at 10 am. Pastor Gene Jacobs of Real Life Ministries was initially reported missing before his body was found by Pinehurst Police Department.

KELLOGG — For one night only, the Dirty Dog Saloon became the “Dirty Kitty” as the owners allowed Silver Valley Cat Wranglers to perform a bar takeover and silent auction. The Dirty Dog Saloon donated all the day's proceeds to Cat Wranglers and through additional donations, the group was able to raise about $6,000 out of its $15,000 annual budget.
Silver Mountain Resort to host mine rescue competition

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — Local food and shelter organizations can apply for funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Kootenai County has been awarded $65,515 for the emergency food and shelter phase 41. The state also awarded Kootenai County $44,438 from some “set aside” funding for the emergency food and shelter phase 41. Phase 41 is a FEMA funding mechanism for the year 2024.
Seatz's pleads guilty to aggravated battery
WALLACE –– Owen Seatz pleaded guilty to aggravated at his felony arraignment at Shoshone County Courthouse earlier this week. Seatz, 23, was initially charged with a single count of battery with intent to commit a serious felony, domestic battery without traumatic injury, and resisting or obstructing a public officer.
