Greenfield man gets 4 years in prison
A Greenfield man sentenced to four years in prison for trafficking and tampering with evidence was among five people sentenced recently in Highland County Common Pleas Court. Ray Cooper, 29, was sentenced to two years in prison for one count of trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound, a second-degree felony, which was ordered to be consecutive to another two years in prison on one count of tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony. Cooper was given 76 days of jail time credit.
Leesburg man sentenced on attempted felonious assault charge
A Leesburg man has been sentenced to a year and a half in prison after pleading guilty to attempted felonious assault. Kevin D. Treadway, 50, of Leesburg was originally charged with felonious assault, a second-degree felony, in December. The indictment accused him of “knowingly causing serious physical harm” to a victim on or about Oct. 13.

Wilmington man gets community control in Highland County extortion case
A Wilmington man was sentenced to community control this week and ordered to pay restitution after pleading guilty to an extortion charge in Highland County. As previously reported, Christian I. Kittrell, 23, was indicted by a Highland County grand jury in March and charged with two counts of extortion, both third-degree felonies.
