Woman seriously hurt in crash south of Salina
WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A Medicine Lodge woman was seriously hurt in a crash near Salina. The Kansas Highway Patrol says it happened shortly before 1:30 p.m. Monday about 9 miles south of Salina, on Interstate 135 just north of the Old Highway 81 junction. Troopers say the 34-year-old woman was heading north on I-135 when, for an unknown reason, she left the road on the right side.
Hospital Earns ‘A’ Grade For Safety
Salina Regional Health Center has been recognized with an “A” rating for hospital safety. The rating comes from The Leapfrog Group – a national nonprofit watchdog. According to the hospital, Leapfrog assigns an “A,” “B,” “C,” “D” or “F” grade to general hospitals across the country based on over 30 measures of errors, accidents, injuries and infections as well as the systems hospitals have in place to prevent them.

Man Arrested in His Free, Stolen Van
