Dexter Regional High School announces Class of 2024 valedictorian and salutatorian
DEXTER — Dexter Regional High School Principal Stephen Bell is honored to announce the valedictorian for the Class of 2024 Cally Gudroe and Salutatorian William Spratt. Cally is the daughter of Adam and Allyson Gudroe of Garland. Cally is yet to make a final decision on a college, but will be studying communications and journalism. While in high school, Cally has been part of varsity girls soccer, basketball, and tennis and has been a captain for all three teams. Cally has also been involved with Student Government, Key Club, and Global Discussions. Cally is a member of the National Honor Society and is currently serving as National Honor Society president.
Foxcroft Academy Counseling Services to host Class of 2025 parent informational meeting
DOVER-FOXCROFT — Foxcroft Academy Counseling Services will host a junior parent evening on Wednesday, May 1 at 6 p.m. for current Foxcroft Academy juniors (Class of 2025) and their parents and guardians. They are invited to join counseling services for an information evening to assist with pre-planning for the upcoming senior year.
Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis’ 50th Piscataquis River Race set for Saturday
DOVER-FOXCROFT — The 50th annual Kiwanis Club of Dover-Foxcroft Piscataquis River Race is set for Saturday, April 27 from Guilford to Dover-Foxcroft. Sponsored by Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis Charities, Inc., the race starts at King Cummings Park in Guilford and paddlers will head approximately 10 miles down the Piscataquis River to the finish line located across West Main Street from Foxcroft Academy. Registration is 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. and the Piscataquis River Race starts promptly at 10 a.m.

DEXTER — Dexter Regional High School and Mattanawcook Academy of Lincoln both entered Monday, April 22’s Class C North softball contest with unblemished records during the first week of the season. The Tigers and visiting Lynx had not been tested over a full game as all five combined contests between the two programs were decided by a double digit run total.
