BURNS — Brynn Bach’s versatility was on full display at the Kendra Roeder Invitational track and field meet Friday in Pine Bluffs. The Burns sophomore won the 100-meter hurdles and pole vault while placing second in the 800-meter run.
Burns hires Dan Ebben as boys basketball coach
CHEYENNE — A familiar face is returning to the sideline for Burns boys basketball. Dan Ebben was announced as the Broncs’ coach Tuesday afternoon. Ebben was Burns’ girls coach from 1999 to 2004. He then spent six season as a girls assistant under Barry Ward, followed by six seasons as a boys assistant under Sean Patterson and Kurtis Suloff.

Wyoming woman sentenced for possession of meth with intent to distribute
CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Brenda Lee Sutton, 38, of Carpenter was sentenced to 58 months for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. According to court documents, on Apr. 6, 2023, agents conducted a controlled purchase of approximately 56 grams of methamphetamine from Sutton. She was indicted and pleaded guilty to the charge on Dec. 13, 2023. U.S. District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson imposed the sentence on Mar. 25.
County to administer Pine Bluffs municipal election going forward; two Cheyenne voting precincts reconfigured
CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Laramie County will now have an additional voting precinct for the town of Pine Bluffs. The Board of County Commissioners approved a resolution at its regular meeting Tuesday to reconfigure several voting precincts. County Clerk Debra Lee proposed the changes. Laramie County currently contains 40 precincts, but the formation of a new one will raise the total up to 41.
County Road 142 Reconstruction Project bid accepted for nearly $5.2M
CHEYENNE, Wyo. — A contractor has been chosen to take the helm on the County Road 142 Reconstruction Project. At its regular Tuesday meeting, the Board of Laramie County Commissioners approved a bid from Simon Contractors for the project. The county accepted the bid in the amount of $5,189,321.50.
