HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for much of the WSAZ viewing for this afternoon-early evening. A watch means conditions are favorable for severe weather including high winds, hail, and a few tornadoes. Since this is a busy holiday weekend with many outdoor events ongoing, officials and adults hosting these events should keep a close eye on the local radar and have contingency plans to get people to safe cover if a storm warning is issued.

Delayed opening for Ashland pool; bus service to take kids to Flatwoods pool
