Residents of several small towns in Missouri may face an uncertain future with grocery shopping as Dollar Tree plans to close 600 stores this year, including some in Missouri. SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - Over the weekend, the First Alert Weather Team kept an eye on a few rounds of strong to severe t-storms that rolled through the Ozarks. While Sunday morning started with rain across much of the area, the atmosphere got unstable enough to allow for a tornado watch to go out for parts of southwest Missouri at 5:15 p.m. For our Missouri counties, that watch only included Stone, Barry, Newton and McDonald counties. Outside of the watch, storms marched into Greene and Christian counties where a tornado warning went into effect around 8:40 Sunday night.
