HPD: Knott man was photographing, videoing women in store
A Knott County man was arrested recently after he allegedly was discovered to be taking videos of women in a local store. According to an arrest citation written by HPD Officer Parker Hignite, on April 15, HPD Maj. Zack Miller received a call from his wife who had reported she had a man following her throughout a store at the Daniel Boone Plaza.
Ohio students using technical skills to serve EKY
HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - The U.S. Grant Career Center from Bethel, Ohio has made it their mission to continue serving Eastern Kentucky following the July 2022 floods. The group of more than 20 students and a handful of staff came back to the mountains for a second time in an effort to help repair and rebuild.

An older gentleman had already become regular customer at The Farmhouse Diner in Salyersville, says co-owner Amanda Allen, when he pulled her aside for an emotional conversation. He told Allen his wife had died a few years before. He loved coming to the diner because, for the first time since she passed, he could eat gravy that reminded him of her cooking.
