Police from multiple agencies search Sun Flower 99 Spa in Ellettsville
A months-long investigation into possible illegal activities at Ellettsville’s Sun Flower 99 Spa culminated in a June 7 police search of the Richland Plaza massage business. Ellettsville Police Department officers were joined by officers from the Bloomington and Battle Ground police departments and by representatives from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, state department of revenue and IU Health Bloomington Hospital when the search warrant was served last Friday.

Two Monroe County Jail prisoners face felony battery charges in connection with the May 19 beating of another inmate over alleged racial slurs. The 44-year-old injured man sustained serious head injuries from being beaten. The two suspects allegedly pried open a jail lock to gain access to the victim, an unhoused man jailed since April on burglary, theft and possession of methamphetamine and marijuana charges.

BLOOMINGTON — A Georgia man was sentenced to 45 years in prison after pleading guilty to murdering 32-year-old Teresa Michael and setting fire to her Bloomington apartment.
