Man arrested after high-speed chase in Jamestown
JAMESTOWN, N.D. (Valley News Live) - A man is under arrest after a high-speed chase in Jamestown. It happened Tuesday around 11:55 AM. ND Highway Patrol says a trooper attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding on I-94 near milepost 271 in Stutsman County. They say the driver of the 2004 Honda Accord, Chance T. Standridge, 27, of Mandan, continued to flee at high speeds towards Jamestown.

Reinheart David Johnson, 58, of Jamestown, ND, passed away at his home, Thursday evening, April 25, 2024. Reinheart “Reiny” was born in Bismarck, ND, on November 7, 1965 to Walter and Gladys Johnson. He joined one brother and twin sisters at home. He attended school in Tuttle, Robinson and Hays High School in Hays, Kansas.

Frances M. Hammer, 84 of Jamestown, ND, passed away on Thursday morning, April 25, 2024, at Edgewood Senior Living, Jamestown, in the loving care of her family, JRMC Hospice and Edgewood staff. Frances Marie, one of twelve children born to George and Mary (Warmsbecker) Bachmeier, was born on June 1, 1939, on the family farm in Orrin, ND. Fran was raised on the family farm and later moved to New Rockford to attend the Catholic school. Fran loved living on the family farm and playing with her siblings. She told many stories of the adventures she and her twin brother, Frank, had on the farm. Fran especially had a love for the animals on the farm. Her love for animals carried through her entire life.

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NDHSAA) – The 2024 and seventy-first annual NDHSAA-sponsored Class A Speech State Tournament was held at Jamestown High School on April 20. All participants qualified from one of two regional tournaments or at an invitational tournament held during the season. West Fargo Horace captured first place with 186 points.
