Lincoln and Tillamook counties will share in $47.7 million being sent to Oregon in federal payments under the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act (SRS) for schools and road maintenance, youth job training, wildfire prevention, watershed restoration and habitat conservation. Waldport woman dies in Hwy 101 crash in Newport
NEWPORT, Ore. — Around 5:40 p.m. Monday (April 22), Oregon State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 101 near milepost 143 within the Newport city limits. Police say a red Chevrolet Monte Carlo was southbound on Hwy 101 when it crossed the middle lane into the northbound lane for unknown reasons and collided with a white Honda Odyssey.
