Mount Morris teen who confessed to setting 40 fires gets nonpublic sentence
SAGINAW, MI — A Mount Morris teen with a penchant for setting abandoned motels on fire has received a nonpublic sentence. Andrew J. Shank, 19, on Wednesday, May 1, appeared before Saginaw County Circuit Judge Andre R. Borrello for sentencing, having pleaded guilty in March to third-degree arson. The felony is punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a fine of $20,000 or three times the value of what was damaged.
