An Alabama man died in a single-vehicle crash on a rural Mississippi highway Sunday. The Mississippi Highway Patrol reports that Curicous Palmer, 32, of Bay Minette, Alabama, died when the 2017 Ford Focus he was driving on Highway 80 near Jones Road ran off the road and collided with a tree.

Bay Minette woman sentenced after bank fraud conspiracy, identity theft
MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — The United States Department of Justice has sentenced a Bay Minette woman to prison in connection with a one-year bank fraud scheme. Chief United States District Judge Jeffery U. Beaverstock ordered 40-year-old Jamie Danell Putman of Bay Minette to serve 37 months in prison for bank fraud conspiracy and aggravated identity theft.
