Hospital Earns ‘A’ Grade For Safety
Salina Regional Health Center has been recognized with an “A” rating for hospital safety. The rating comes from The Leapfrog Group – a national nonprofit watchdog. According to the hospital, Leapfrog assigns an “A,” “B,” “C,” “D” or “F” grade to general hospitals across the country based on over 30 measures of errors, accidents, injuries and infections as well as the systems hospitals have in place to prevent them.

LINDSBORG — For those interested in seeing a more than 120-year-old flour mill running, Millfest in Lindsborg this weekend is the place to be. Happening each year by the Lindsborg Old Mill and Swedish Heritage Museum, Millfest, with tours running from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, celebrates the history of the community by having millers run the only working mill in the Midwest that uses 19th century technology.
South Student-Athletes Sign to Next Level
Salina South High School saw eight student-athletes celebrate the singing of their National Letters of Intent on Wednesday afternoon. Six different Cougar athletic programs are represented by the spring signing class of 2024, and six of the eight have signed with junior colleges. Of the signees, seven will stay in-state at the next level.
