An early taste of summer continues through the weekend
HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - The last weekend of April is featuring weather that would be more common in the first weekend of June. It’s a warm and mainly cloudy day across the mountains with some isolated showers scattered between the peaks of sunshine. This pattern of warm weather looks to continue for the next couple of days as we get ready to roll the calendar forward to may.
Perry woman facing child endangerment charge
A Perry County woman is facing a child endangerment charge after police responded to a call from social services. According to a citation written by Hazard Police Department Officer Michael Ritchie, he responded to the call April 11 at Hazard ARH after the social services personnel reported there were two people in a room at the medical center who allegedly had methamphetamine in their possession.
Perry County escapee captured
HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- A man who escaped from Kentucky Law Enforcement over the weekend is back in custody.
