Dawn Premo benefit is May 16
A Come Show Love For Dawn Premo Benefit will be held May 18, 1-4 p.m., at Pike Bay Town Hall, 15514 Hwy. 371, Cass Lake. This benefit will help defray medical costs for Dawn, due to her Stage 2 lung cancer diagnosis. She is currently being treated at Joe Lueken Cancer Center with chemo, radiation and immunotherapy. There will be a silent auction, bake sale, serving fry bread tacos and an ice cream social.
Bemidji Residents Encouraged to ‘Slow the Mow’ to Help Pollinators
The group Birds, Bees, & Butterflies – Bemidji has decided to change things a little bit for its third year of “No Mow May.”. Instead, for 2024, it will be deemed “Slow the Mow,” allowing city residents to register their yard and be given the opportunity to delay lawn-care practices during the month of May and the first week of June.

MOUNTAIN IRON—Two Bemidji residents suffered non-life-threatening injuries Friday in a two-vehicle collision at Highway 169 and County Road 7 in Mountain Iron, a St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office news release said.
