Beachwood man accused of brandishing machete in Toms River road rage incident
TOMS RIVER — A Beachwood man is accused of threatening another driver with a machete on Wednesday during a road rage chase in Toms River, according to township police. Toms River police say Austin Martinez, 29, of Beachwood threatened another driver by tapping a machete against his car window while stopped at a red light at Water Street in Toms River. The victim then drove to the Ocean County Mall, where Martinez allegedly chased him through the mall parking lot.

A GoFundMe has been set up to aid employees of a Brick Township pizza restaurant that was destroyed in a fire Saturday evening that also damaged two other stores. The GoFundMe was started by Anthony Carannante who, along with his sister, owns Papa V’s Pizzeria, which is located an eighth of a mile from Cuzzin’s Pizza and Restaurant, damaged by flames that for a time shot through the roof of the building on Herbertsville Road.
