Mendon man charged with failure to yield at intersection after Thursday crash near Loraine
LORAINE, Ill. — Minor injuries were reported after a traffic accident Thursday morning at the intersection of Illinois Route 336 and E. 1750th Street north of Loraine. Deputies with the Adams County Sheriff’s Department responded at approximately 9:14 a.m. to a two-vehicle accident on Illinois Route 336. After a brief on-scene investigation, it was determined that a 2012 GMC Sierra driven by Arthur L. McMullen, 81, of Loraine failed to yield to oncoming traffic and crashed into a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country driven by Denise M. Welsh, 50, of Milan.

QUINCY — A Quincy man facing a charge of attempted first-degree murder made his first appearance in Adams County Circuit Court on Tuesday afternoon.
