Lewiston Fire Department Upgrades Fleet with New Ambulances
LEWISTON - The City of Lewiston Fire Department has proudly announced the addition of two state-of-the-art ambulances to their fleet. The newly acquired ambulances from Braun NW, based in Chehalis, WA, were delivered on April 30th, 2024. Each vehicle cost $230,000, slightly under the allocated budget, marking a critical update to the department's fleet. These ambulances replace older models. Specifically, a 2011 two-wheel-drive ambulance with 163,000 miles and a 2012 model sidelined due to a blown motor.

LEWISTON, Idaho. — A woman is dead and a man was transported to the hospital after a crash on US-12 near Lewiston on Thursday. According to the Idaho State Police (ISP), the 32-year-old woman was driving westbound on US-12 when she drove into a tree. ISP said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
