Vehicle fire caused part of Scottsville Road to close
ALVATON, Ky. (WBKO) - Multiple emergency response units responded to a Jeep that caught fire on Scottsville Road, near Twin Bridges Road, around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. The Alvaton Fire Department reported that they extinguished the fire within minutes and that there were no injuries. They were assisted on scene by Kentucky State Police.
House fire breaks out, kills family pet in Franklin
FRANKLIN, Ky. (WBKO) - Franklin-Simpson Fire and Rescue responded to a house fire in Franklin around 7:17 a.m. on Saturday. Franklin-Simpson Fire and Rescue Deputy Chief Nelson Slaughter told WBKO that they were paged out to the house on 208 E. Street around 7:13 a.m. and when they arrived a few minutes later, there were flames coming from the roots of the structure.
