Fisher’s American Tavern closes, to rebrand in Solon
Fisher’s American Tavern at 28020 Miles Road in Solon has closed its doors to complete a rebranding of the restaurant, according to a May 6 Facebook post. The still unnamed restaurant will have an Italian-inspired menu when it reopens, the post stated. The rebrand will take about three months, reopening upon completion. Scott Fisher, co-owner of the restaurant, has accepted a position with the Cleveland Restaurant Group, a group of entrepreneurs dedicated to creating unique culinary experiences, which will oversee the rebranding of the restaurant, the post said.

Late last Friday, when I was mired in editing our big weekend stories, I got an email from a colleague about the possibility of seeing an Aurora Borealis. But we have published dozens of stories over the years about possibilities, and they never seem to pan out. So I promptly forgot about it. And after wrapping up the workweek, walking the dog, playing outside with my kids, I crashed into bed at 10 p.m. Right as the show was starting.
