Owner of dog day care in Lancaster County charged in death of animal
A woman who runs a Columbia pet daycare center let a foster dog in her care die after an attack while she tried to figure out what to do, according to the Pennsylvania SPCA. Investigators charged Caitlin Michelle Perry, 30, of Houston Street, with aggravated cruelty to animals by causing serious bodily injury or death, torture and a related charge in connection with a Nov. 4 dog-on-dog attack at the animal day care that she runs out of her home, Wiggle Butts Co.
Search continues for missing boater
PORT DEPOSIT — Maryland Natural Resources Police continues to search for a 51-year-old man that went missing in the Susquehanna River Monday night. Three people were in the boat as it took on water around 9 p.m. in the vicinity of Port Deposit and were swept from the craft. Two swam to shore but the third did not. Working with allied agencies — Maryland State Police, Harford County Fire and EMS, and Harford County Sheriff’s Office — NRP has been looking for that person, last seen wearing a grey sweatshirt and blue jeans. Police did not identify the missing person by name.
Lancaster County man arrested for allegedly beating an infant
LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — A Lancaster County man has been arrested and is facing charges for allegedly beating a seven-week-old infant. According to the Susquehanna Regional Police Department, on Feb. 9, 2024, officers received a call from Lancaster County Children and Youth Services regarding an infant who had been admitted to Penn State Hershey Medical Center with injuries.

Lancaster Man Gets Years In Prison For Fleeing Crash That Killed Pediatrician. (Lancaster, PA) -- A Lancaster man will serve up to six years in prison for driving away from a crash that killed a local doctor. Fifty-four-year-old Rodolfo Paradas has been sentenced to three-to-six years for fleeing from the scene of a crash that killed Dr. Steven Killough in 2021. Prosecutors say Paradas hit Killough while he was in a crosswalk near West Chestnut and Prince Streets. Killough was with Lancaster Pediatric Associates for more than 30 years.
