Suspect involved in Clovis double homicide, abduction appears in federal court
A Houston man who reportedly killed two women and abducted a 10-month old child in Clovis, New Mexico on May 3 appeared in front of a federal judge on May 29. Alek Isaiah Collins, 26, appeared before a federal judge in Albuquerque on May 29 for arraignment on an indictment charging him with kidnapping of a minor and discharging a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence in connection with the double homicide of two female victims. Collins was detained pending trial, which has not yet been scheduled.
