Suspect in stolen Dodge Charger arrested after police chase, crash
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A suspect driving a stolen Dodge Charger was arrested after crashing while fleeing from police near Uptown on Friday, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said. Officers attempted to stop the suspect, who was wanted on a warrant for assault with a deadly weapon, when they saw him driving a Dodge Charger on Interstate 85 near Interstate 77 in north Charlotte. The suspect refused to pull over and drove away from officers at a high rate of speed. The officers chased the suspect and CMPD's helicopter followed the suspect as he drove around Charlotte and into Uptown, investigators said.

CMPD cruiser involved in serious crash near Uptown
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person was hurt in a crash involving a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police cruiser near Uptown Charlotte on Friday, officials confirmed. The crash happened at the intersection of West Fifth Street and West Seventh Street in northwest Charlotte around 11:30 a.m. Friday. Suspect accused of stealing school bus found hiding in house, sheriff says
RICHMOND COUNTY, N.C. — A Richmond County man was arrested Wednesday after deputies found him with a stolen school bus at an unoccupied house. It all started when a deputy noticed a drop cord running from a house to another house that was supposed to be empty. The property owner confirmed the house was supposed to be empty and asked the deputy to go inside and make sure everything was OK.
