'No weapons on our campus' | Pflugerville ISD says no students were in danger during hold at Hendrickson High School
PFLUGERVILLE, Texas — Everyone is safe after Hendrickson High School was briefly put on hold Wednesday afternoon, Pflugerville ISD confirmed to KVUE. The district shared a letter sent from Principal Michael Grebb to families, stating that the campus was put on a brief hold while a district police officer detained a student "on a specific issue." Pflugerville ISD said the student does not attend Hendrickson High School.

Austin Community College Celebrates Vocational Graduation for 86 Women at Lockhart Correctional Facility
In a move hailed as a significant step towards addressing the challenges of re-entry, the Austin Community College District (ACC) has recently celebrated a ceremony for the largest single group of graduates it's trained inside the walls of a correctional facility. A total of 86 women incarcerated at the Lockhart Correctional Facility proudly donned caps and gowns to mark the completion of ACC's vocational programs, readying them for in-demand careers in Central Texas.
