One flown to hospital after motorcycle crash in Columbia County
MIFFLINVILLE, Pa. — One man is in the hospital after a crash Sunday afternoon in Columbia County. According to police, a motorcyclist from Saugerties, New York, was traveling west on 3rd Street in Mifflinville just after 3 p.m. when he failed to stop at a stop sign and struck another vehicle.
PSP: Driver drunk in crash
Bloomsburg, Pa. — A driver who crashed along Route 339 in Mainville was drunk, police say. Troopers were called to Mountain Road in Main Township on April 29 for reports of a single-vehicle crash. After arriving on scene, Trp. Ryan Golla determined the driver, 54-year-old Tresa Andino of Bloomsburg, was under the influence of alcohol, reports say. Andino was taken to the Columbia County DUI Booking Center for a chemical test, Golla said.
Man busted for second time stealing sports trading cards
Selinsgrove, Pa. — A Shamokin man who was recently arrested for retail theft was charged again, after police traced him to the theft of more than $1,000 of sports trading cards. Donald James Ponatoski, 38, is now facing felony charges for the thefts that allegedly occurred between February and April at the Selinsgrove Walmart store. Trp. Herndon, Pa. — Police say someone stole a 55-inch Vizio television from a home in Herndon. The victim reported the theft occurred sometime between May 1 and May 10 from their home at the 200 block of North Main Street, according to state police at Stonington.
