LYNN - Police have announced that two men died over Memorial Day weekend in unrelated drownings. Drownings in Lynn and LunenburgA 29-year-old man drowned after entering Lake Whalom in Lunenburg on Saturday. Police said they received multiple 911 calls just after 8 p.m. and dispatched emergency crews, including a dive team, who searched the water. They discovered his body around an hour later, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.The Essex District Attorney said that a 60-year-old man is suspected of drowning in Sluice Pond in Lynn over the weekend. Man dies after being pulled from Lynn pond in suspected drowning
A 60-year-old man died after being pulled from a pond in Lynn Sunday night in a suspected drowning, according to the Essex County District Attorney’s Office. The man was pulled from Sluice Pond around 11 p.m., the district attorney’s office said. First responders provided medical aid and took him to a local hospital, but he was later declared dead.
