Summer 2024 Concert Series Kicks off June 9th
LONG BRANCH, NJ - Mark your calendars! The City has released their list of artists performing in the 2024 Concert Series. The summer will once again see the return of favorites: Bands by the Beach, Tuesdays on Broadway, and Thursdays by the Sea! The series kicks off on Sunday, July 9th at West End Park with the Philadelphia Funk Authority. Dates have also been released for several other summer events throughout the City including: OceanFest, Art in the Park, National Night Out, the Long Branch Jazz and Blues festival, and many more! BRADLEY BEACH — In honor of the nation’s heroes, Bradley Beach hosted its annual Memorial Day Weekend Festival along Ocean Avenue this past weekend, with festivities including a Memorial Day Parade and vendor fair. The annual parade, marking the unofficial start of the summer season in the borough, marched down Ocean Avenue in celebration of the country’s bravest, for both those who made it home from military service and those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

An expected 43.8 million people nationwide will travel 50 miles or more over the Memorial Day weekend, according to AAA, a number not seen in 20 years. For those heading back from the Jersey Shore on Monday, the worst time to travel is between 3 and 7 p.m., the transportation research firm INRIX. The best time would be after 7 p.m.
Asbury Park Hosts Educational Walk to Farmers' Market for SNAP and WIC Beneficiaries
ASBURY PARK, NJ - Asbury Park's Mayor’s Wellness Committee is calling all residents to join an educational outing on Sunday, June 9th, to the Asbury Fresh Farmers' Market. Participants will learn how to effectively use their SNAP, WIC, and Senior Farmers’ Market benefits, with a special opportunity to double their SNAP dollars. The event will kick off at 11:30 AM at the Boston Way Apartments playground, located at 1100 Boston Way. The guided walk will cover half a mile to the bustling farmers' market at Lake Avenue and Emory Street, where attendees can meet directly with farmers and vendors, exploring a variety of fresh, affordable organic produce sourced from New Jersey. (ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- The ShowRoom Cinema presents the "Queer 90s" film series, a celebration of groundbreaking LGBTQ+ films from the 1990s. This special series will feature screenings of "Trick" on June 6, "Bound" on June 20, and culminate with a 30th anniversary screening of "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" on June 27, 2024. The final screening will also serve as a fundraiser for The Center in Asbury Park, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting people living with HIV/AIDS.
