Man shot in Southeast DC
WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said a man was shot in Southeast D.C. Monday morning. MPD responded to Gainesville Ave and Alabama Ave for a shooting. When police arrived at the scene, they found a man who had been shot. The man had non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to hospital.

A drone, a helicopter and at least three police agencies helped to apprehend a driver who crashed during a chase early Monday morning. The crash happened just after 1 a.m. as Virginia State Police chased a black Chevy Camaro from I-395 to Arlington Mill Drive, near Shirlington.
