'He's a pretty good person': Friends remembering the man killed in shooting Saturday
OMAHA, Neb. — Omaha Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred around 2 a.m. Saturday morning on Charles Street near Northwest Radial Highway. Police said that emergency responders were dispatched to the location for a medical call. Upon arrival, officials discovered a man unconscious who was suffering from a gunshot wound.
Three accused in north Omaha murder headed to trial
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Three Omaha men accused of murder will remain in custody until trial. Investigators say two of them fired at least 19 shots at the victim. The homicide happened last month at 24th and Ohio Streets. Investigators say Artrell Evans, 30, was gunned down in his vehicle when an SUV pulled up next to him in the wrong lane on Ohio Street. Video captured 19 muzzle flashes from two guns firing from the SUV’s passenger side into the vehicle Evans was driving, according to prosecutors.

FLORENCE, Neb. (WOWT) - The man found in the Missouri River north of Omaha earlier this week had ties to Sioux City, Iowa. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said Friday that the body of 43-year-old Julio Alberto Estrada-Aguirre was recovered from the Missouri River just north of Omaha on Tuesday. Estrada-Aguirre did not have a permanent residence, but had been staying in the area of Sioux City, Iowa.

LINCOLN–(KFOR May 17)–An update to a story about a motorcycle crash that happened early on May 6 at 70th and Douglas in northeast Lincoln. According to LPD public information manager Erika Thomas, 40-year-old Jeremy Wilcox of Omaha lost control of his northbound motorcycle and ran into a yard of a home, being ejected.
