Wahler. Then they headed off to the Grand Marquis in Old Bridge for their special night. SPOTSWOOD, NJ - As Spotswood High School's Class of 2024 begins its final few weeks before graduation, congratulations go out to the high school's spring Students of the Month. Senior Gavin Cahill was named the Chargers April Student of the Month. Cahill was also named as Spotswood High School's NJSIAA Scholar Athlete for 2024. The Milltown native is a member of the Chargers cross-country program and the varsity baseball team. Cyanne Chan was tapped as Spotswood High School's May Student of the Month. Andrew Pearce was named Spotswood's June Student of the Month. Cahill, Chan and Pearce join classmates Cassidy Herman (September), Kirelos Salib (October), Emily Wallace (November), Luc Acquaviva (December), Victoria Ziegler (January), Lydia Abdu (February) and Olivia Adiao (March), who previously received the honor this school year. OLD BRIDGE – There were many big throws, but just maybe, the toss with the most joy behind it came when Lucas White chucked his glove toward the dugout. The Monroe senior just got a game-ending strikeout as the fifth-seeded Falcons upset top-seed Old Bridge 6-5 in Friday’s NJSIAA Central Group 4 semifinals. His teammates mobbed him and the celebration was on.
High schoolers get hands-on introduction to construction trades
More students are enrolling in vocational schools, according to data. More than 2,000 students from high schools across the state got a taste of what it’s like working in the construction field at the Construction Industry Career Day on Wednesday. The career day has been going on since 2001 and is hosted by the Associated Construction Contractors of New Jersey.
