The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has stepped in at the request of the Henry County Police Department to examine an officer-involved shooting that occurred on June 8. This probe digs into the events that transpired on Business Center Drive in Stockbridge when officers encountered a stolen truck and its driver, 31-year-old Daniel Jay Waldrop of McDonough. Georgia Bureau of Investigation's official release details no bullets struck Waldrop, despite an officer opening fire, but the confrontation led to an officer's injury, and subsequently, a prolonged car chase unfolded.
Jackson sets Juneteenth Celebration for June 15
