Framingham teachers will start 2025-26 school year with new three-year contract
FRAMINGHAM — For the first time in recent memory, Framingham Public Schools teachers will start a school year with a new contract ratified. The School Committee voted unanimously on Wednesday to approve a new three-year contract for the city's more than 1,100 public school educators. The new pact, which goes into effect July 1, includes a 2% cost of living adjustment for the upcoming school year, as well as 3% boost in 2025-26 and a 3.5% adjustment in 2026-27.
Worcester School Committee votes down motion to slash administrative salaries
WORCESTER ― School Committee members rejected an attempt to cut $500,000 from administration salaries and reallocate that money for additional instructional materials, including Chromebooks, during a budget deliberation session Thursday. School Committee member Dianna Biancheria proposed the change. It was rejected by a 6-3 vote, with Maureen Binienda and Kathleen Roy joining Biancheria in favor. NATICK - Emily Munchak and Olivia Comella used their lacrosse sticks like scalpels. The Wellesley junior pair carved Lincoln-Sudbury’s zone defense in the Division 1 state semifinals Monday at Memorial field. They combined for 11 points, as the No. 2 Raiders took down the third-seeded defending state champions 12-5. Wellesley (20-4) will face No. 1 Central Catholic in the Final Thursday.
MCAS standardized testing may be on November ballot
