Dover Council Censures Former Council President
DOVER, DE - The Dover City Council voted to censure their former president this week following accusations of improper contact with a city employee in 2023. Dover’s City Ethics Commission launched an investigation into allegations against former council president William Hare after receiving a complaint on October 3, 2023. The complaint, filed by a city employee’s husband, claimed Hare had made inappropriate contact with the employee regarding her duties and functions. The Ethics Commission found Hare had violated Dover’s ethical standards and resolved to censure him.
45-year-old woman who died after veering off road in Camden Saturday named by police
Police have identified the Smyrna woman who died Saturday after driving off the road in Camden as 45-year-old Tammy Munson. State police said Munson veered off the side of Westville Road near Probst Lane on Saturday at 2:33 p.m. She hit a mailbox and a guardrail before dropping into a ditch and striking an embankment. Her truck turned onto its left side, according to police, and Munson was partially thrown out of the window and trapped under the vehicle.

We must do more to prevent gun violence in Delaware
On Memorial Day at around 1:50 a.m., a stolen flatbed truck backed into the front door of Miller’s Gun Store. The thieves made out with a cache of firearms, many of which have likely been sold on the illicit market. This isn’t the first time a gun store has been robbed in New Castle County. In 2020, five individuals stole 35 firearms from the American Sportsman gun store in Stanton. Last year, one woman admitted she stole more than half a million rounds of ammunition from a local Cabela’s to sell on the illicit market.
