New major development coming to Berkeley County
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - A new subdivision with 233 single-family homes will be coming to the area of Cainhoy Road and Clements Ferry Road. The Cainhoy Del Webb subdivision has had a bit of a hold-up because of wetlands and stormwater issues in the area. As the project enters phase two, developers are working the kinks out.
N. Charleston woman says complaints about Section 8 home have gone unanswered
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - A woman says her mobile unit has been neglected by her landlord and the Charleston County Housing and Redevelopment Authority. Tanika Capers has been living at Delta Oaks Trailer Park in North Charleston for about 8 months and she said it’s nothing short of a nightmare.
25Accident on Green Pond Highway
An adult and a juvenile were injured in a single vehicle, high speed MVC in the 4500 block of Green Pond Highway (SC Hwy 303) Friday afternoon April 19. A northbound Nissan Altima crossed into the southbound ditch, struck a driveway culvert, and became airborne. The passenger car struck a large pine tree approximately 15 feet off the ground, then fell back into the ditch behind a guardrail. The adult female driver was trapped in the wreckage. A 15 year-old female passenger suffered traumatic injuries but was able to exit the vehicle on her own. Sheriff's Deputies arrived first and began providing aid to the injured. Firefighter-Paramedics arrived a short time later and extricated the driver. Both patients were transported to the Trauma Center at MUSC in Charleston. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. Traffic on Green Pond Highway was blocked for approximately 45 minutes.

N. Charleston babysitter charged after child severely burned
