Cousins convicted of killing Salinas couple over mistaken identity
SALINAS, Calif. — It took a Monterey County jury less than two hours of deliberations to find two cousins guilty of first-degree murder in the shooting deaths of a Salinas couple. The double murder occurred more than two years ago as the couple sat in a car near Closter Park.

WATSONVILLE, Calif. — Thieves targeted a cannabis dispensary early Saturday morning which led to a high-speed chase through three counties. Police say at least a dozen thieves made off with an undisclosed amount of marijuana products from "The Hook" dispensary, after smashing an SUV through a storeside window. This occurred around 4 a.m., said police.
