Board members resign from U of M Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies over planned hire’s stance on Gaza
Lonny Goldsmith and Lev Gringauz at TC Jewfolk report on the resignation of two members of the advisory board for the University of Minnesota’s Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies. Both board members took issue with the planned hire of Raz Segal as the center’s new director and his stance that Israel is committing “a textbook case of genocide” against Gaza in response to the Oct. 7 attack. The Star Tribune reports the university is pausing its search.

In a recent post by the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, it was showcased that the younger citizens of our community had a joyful day exploring various service vehicles, something far from a typical classroom setting. Kids were seen clambering into patrol cars, horns honking in a cacophony of excitement, while their parents watched on with smiles and smartphones out, ready to capture the moment.
