Border Patrol reported the seizure of $2 million worth of fentanyl in Arizona after a Border Patrol K-9 uncovered the stash.
“Following a K9 alert, Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents found more $2 million worth of fentanyl at a checkpoint along Interstate 8 near Yuma,” Yuma Sector Chief Patrol Agent Patricia McGurk-Daniel tweeted.

Stored in packets, the fentanyl appeared to have been stored in car seats, according to images of the seizure posted by McGurk-Daniel.
Fentanyl was also discovered in the vehicle’s gas tank, according to a report.

The amount of fentanyl seized in the stop totals the entirety of fentanyl seized in the Yuma section during fiscal 2022, according to a report.
