This OKC grocery store opened to combat a food desert. Now it's offering more community resources
Representatives of nonprofits and community agencies will be able to meet with residents at a place nestled in their neighborhood — a local grocery store. The Market at EastPoint & Eastside Eatery community grocery store recently celebrated the addition of the Bank of America Community Resource Room. Brandi Jones, a professional chef who serves at The Market at EastPoint, said the room was funded by a grant from Bank of America-Oklahoma City.

OK History Center hosts discussion on history of food in Oklahoma
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – The Oklahoma History Center is hosting a roundtable discussion regarding the history and evolution of food in the Sooner State. Officials say the discussion is planned for Wednesday, May 8, from 6-9 p.m. at the Chesapeake Event Center, located inside the Oklahoma History Center. The discussion will take place from 6-8 p.m. followed by refreshments and a networking hour from 8-9 p.m.
