SISKIYOU COUNTY, Calif. - The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office announced that 33-year-old Kaonai Saechao was found dead in the Montague area on May 4. Climber dies after medical emergency on Mount Shasta
SISKIYOU COUNTY, Calif. -- A 49-year-old climber died on Friday after he collapsed while climbing Mount Shasta. According to a Facebook post from the Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office, the man -- David Lopez from Campbell, CA -- fell while walking towards Lake Helen. This was about 9,500 feet up Avalanche Gulch.
