1 arrested for attempted bank robbery in Ypsilanti

YPSILANTI, MI -- Ypsilanti police arrested one person on Thursday for a reported bank robbery.

Ypsilanti police were called to the Bank of Ann Arbor, 7 W. Michigan Ave., in downtown Ypsilanti around 9:40 a.m. on Thursday, June 1, for a reported bank robbery. Upon arrival, they found the suspect, who had attempted to flee by foot, in downtown Ypsilanti.

The suspect, who was not armed, was arrested after a brief pursuit.

It is unclear if any money was taken.

No information about the suspect is immediately available.
