    Hanford man arrested with fentanyl and cash, police say

    HANFORD, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A 45-year-old man from Hanford was arrested after he was allegedly found with almost 70 grams of fentanyl and over $5,000 in cash.

    According to the Hanford Police Department, 45-year-old Jeff Clay was seen on Friday showing “behavior consistent with illegal drug transactions.” Officers report that they spoke to Clay and found him with 68.88 grams of fentanyl and around $5,666 in cash.

    Clay was booked into the Kings County Jail on suspicion of having fentanyl for sale. Officers add that the arrest of 45-year-old Jeff Clay was one part of efforts to dismantle the illegal drug trade in the city.

    If HPD is doing such a great then why did the 72 hr bookings say that Jeff Clay was released the very same day he was arrested. So much for keeping the criminals off the street.
