    Suspect behind Fresno shootings and violent crimes arrested, police say

    FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A 26-year-old man allegedly responsible for multiple shootings and other violent crimes in Fresno has been arrested, according to the Fresno Police Department.

    The Fresno Police Department announced on Friday that after they served six search warrants on Sept. 4, resulting in the arrest of 26-year-old Noah Devyn Rios. Officers describe him as a known gang member with an extensive violent criminal history; he was released from prison in July 2024.

    According to the Fresno Police Department Rios was placed on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS). Soon after his release from prison, police say Rios restarted his violent behavior in our community.

    Detectives from the Felony Assault Unit identified Rios as the suspect responsible for eight separate cases between July and September of 2024. Charges listed include shooting at an inhabited dwelling, assault with a firearm, and armed robbery.

    On Sept. 4, 2024, police say detectives and officers, along with officers from the Adult Compliance Team (ACT) and the United States Marshal Service (USMS), served six search warrants related to these violent acts committed by Rios.

    Rios was located and taken into custody without incident.
