    Suspect wanted after stabbing victim several times in Fresno, police say

    FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A suspect is wanted after allegedly stabbing a victim several times in August in Fresno, the city’s police department said on Thursday.

    According to police, on Aug. 16 at 9:16 p.m. officers responded to the area of Dakota Avenue and Crystal Avenue regarding a stabbing victim.

    Police say the victim had just returned home. As he exited his vehicle, he was approached by an unknown suspect. The suspect was armed with a knife, and police say for an unknown reason, began assaulting the victim.

    After stabbing the victim several times the suspect began walking eastbound on Dakota Avenue, according to police.

    The condition of the victim is unknown at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.
